Pastor Doug Wooten & Wife Robbi

Pastor Doug is a fourth-generation pastor who was called into full-time ministry on June 18th, 1995 (Father's Day) at the age of 31. He began his pastoral ministry at the Friendship Community Church in Federalsburg, Maryland in June of 1996. Doug, with the support of his wife Robbi, founded the Bay Country Church in September of the following year. In September of 2001, Pastor Doug met and subsequently received training from Bill Wilson of Metro Ministries International, founding pastor of the largest Sunday School in the United States. As a result of this training, Bay Country Kids' Club (an outreach ministry to the youth of Dorchester County) was founded in the fall of 2003. Doug believes God has called and is preparing him to eventually lead Bay Country Church into multi-site ministry. In other words, it is his dream that BCC will become one church that does ministry at many locations. Doug enjoys coaching and playing basketball and softball. He also enjoys occasionally messing up a good walk by attempting to play a round of golf at the same time. He is constantly on the look out for the next table tennis victim (can you tell he's just a little competitive?). Pastor Doug and Robbi have 5 children and two grand children (Yes, he is that old!). Dylan (24), daughter-in-law Jamie (28) and grand-daughter Nicole (3-months), daughter Jessica (22), son-in-law Brian (27) and grandson Nathaniel (1), daughter Faith (10), son Jared (8), and daughter Elizabeth (5).

Pastor Jayson Bleyer

Pastor Jayson was born and raised right here in Cambridge, MD. in 1975. He graduated from Cambridge South Dorchester High School and in 1997 graduated from Salisbury State University with a degree in Psychology. He has over 8 years of experience working with children including serving as Youth and Children's Pastor and Kids Club director at Bay Country Church for the past 4 years. In addition to these responsibilities, Jayson also serves as Bay Country's Associate Pastor. Jayson's desire to serve God is rivaled only by his passion for his wife Wendi, daughter Paige and son Peyton.
